Opportunity
Ownership of the company's digital acumen program, aimed at increasing employees' digital skills, transitioned from my team (Global Learning & Development) to a team based in one of the company's six divisions. Among the program's complexities was a large-scale, annual global needs assessment to maintain alignment with industry trends and strategic business goals.
Audience
A group of 12 technical project managers (TPMs) with little to no experience in learning would inherit program execution and continued maintenance.
Action
I authored a needs assessment playbook with step-by-step instructions for conducting a companywide learning needs assessment, and facilitated a series of three sessions to train the 12 TPMs on how to conduct an assessment.
Impact
Two of these PMs successfully planned and executed their own assessments within their divisions.
